Tchouameni questions refereeing after Vinicius red card in Real Madrid win

Aurelien Tchouameni criticised the refereeing after Real Madrid were reduced to 10 men in their 1-0 victory over Villarreal.

“I don’t understand what is happening with the referees,” the Real Madrid midfielder said after the match.

Vinicius Junior was shown a straight red card in the 73rd minute after the referee reviewed video footage. The Brazilian had grabbed an opponent by the hair before scoring, meaning the goal was disallowed.

Real Madrid held on to their narrow advantage, secured by Yan Diomande’s 63rd-minute goal.
