Tanimu hails Odigie as "No-Nonsense Tactician"
Super Eagles defender Benjamin Tanimu has praised Bendel Insurance coach Monday Odigie as a demanding but wise tactician who pushes players to reach their full potential, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The center back moved from the Benin club to Ihefu SC in Tanzania in February this year.
On his visit to the club Taminu revealed how the coach has helped grow.
"Coach Monday is a great man, full of wisdom, lovely to be with, a no-nonsense man, and one every player would appreciate working with," Tanimu said during his visit to Bendel Insurance's training camp on Friday.
“He will 'press' you on the pitch to bring out the best in you. Behind the scenes, he's a very calm and gentle man who cares and always looks out for his players - indeed a Father Figure."
Tanimu, who was discovered by Odigie and played a key role in Bendel Insurance's 2023 Federation Cup victory, credited Odigie with being a calm and gentle mentor who cares deeply about his players.
"I wish him well ahead of the team's match against Bayelsa United on Sunday," Tanimu added.
