Nigeria forward, Taiwo Awoniyi has returned to training for his side, Nottingham Forest after he was sideline for about 3 months, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles striker got injured at the start of the year in Nottingham Forest's 1-0 win against Southampton in the English Premier League, a goal that was scored by Awoniyi.

The 25-year-old was reported to have suffered a groin injury, but he seems set for a return after he was seen in a process of recuperating five days ago.

His return is a huge boost to the Steve Cooper's team ahead of their next League match with Wolves as they seek to put a stop to their horrendous run of form that has seen them slip down the table and they’re now just two points clear of the relegation zone.
