With the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) lurking around the corner, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the draw will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The highly anticipated event will be held at the prestigious Mohammed VI Technical Centre in Sale, Morocco.

A total of 12 teams, including the reigning champions, South Africa, and the Super Falcons of Nigeria, will compete for the continental crown.

Morocco, which hosted the tournament's most recent edition in 2022, will also be the host nation for the 2025 WAFCON, which will run from July 5 to July 26, 2025.

South Africa won the 2022 tournament, marking a historic victory on Moroccan soil. As part of the announcement, CAF has confirmed that further details about the draw procedure, along with other pertinent information, will be released in due course.

The tournament is poised to bring together Africa's top female football teams, and the draw will determine the groups for the competition, heightening anticipation for the next chapter of women’s football in Africa.
