Super Falcons player, Halimatu Ayinde has moved to Swedish side, Rosengárd FC from Eskilstuna.

 

The Nigeria International became a subject of transfer after her club Eskilstuna United had to sell due to financial problems.

 

Eskilstuna Courier, a newspaper based in Sweden confirmed that the former Delta Queens player has made the move she

 

"It went very quickly. My agent was in contact with Rosengård during the week, on Wednesday I received a contract proposal and it was nothing to think about, the Nigerian told the newspaper."

 

"Rosengård is a top club and I'm really looking forward to having the opportunity to represent the club, she told the Eskilstuna courier."

The defensive midfielder was part of the Falcons' team that finished fourth in last month's Women's African Cup Of Nations held in Morocco.

 

The duo of Halimatu and Rasheedat Ajibade had been sent off in the semi final game where Nigeria lost to Morocco, but qualified as one of the four teams to secure world cup berth.

 

Ayinde had moved to United in 2019 from Asarum and had to endure a torrid time nursing an injury that ruled her out for year. She made three assists in her time at the club.

 

The announcement of her transfer is expected to be made official soon.
