After the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the African women’s championship qualifier against the Teranga Lionesses on Friday, Captain of the super Falcons Evelyn Nwabuoku has stated that she was disappointed with the overly physical style of play describing the opponents style as a “Tug of war”.

The captain accused the match officials of overlooking several dangerous play by the the home side. Striker, Desire Oparanozie was caught in the head and needed stitches as she was stretched off the pitch and driven to the hospital for further observation form the blow to the head.

Meanwhile, the sides will resume hostilities on Tuesday, 12th April in Abuja and Nwabuoku has vowed the Falcons will match the Lionesses with the fierceness and physicality on the pitch. But, also appealed to Congolese Referee, Julie Kanyembo Kyabuta to spare player who comes dirty in the game.
