Nigeria's Super Eagles defender William Troost Ekong may likely return to Italy as the Watford man has been linked with Italian Serie A Bolonga.

The former Bursaspor defender is not new to Italian football having represented Udinese and played close to 70 matches for the team.

According to the report coming through Sky Italia, Bologna has approached the English championship club Watford FC for the services of Nigeria International.

Bologna is keen to reinforce its defence and is evaluating making a move for Troost-Ekong.

Ekong has also been linked with the Turkish Super Lig champions Trabzonspor but it remains to be seen if Watford manager Rob Edward will sanction the move for the Nigerian centre-back.
