Kevin Akpoguma today scored his first-ever goal in the Bundesliga after 67 appearances in the German top league.

Hoffenheim fought back to beat already relegated Schalke 04 4-2.

In the 52nd minute, fit-again Akpoguma connected a corner home even though the goalkeeper got a fingertip to it.

This season, injuries have limited the appearances of the 26-year-old central defender as he has thus far made 15 with two rounds of matches to the end of the season.

Last term, he made 18 Bundesliga appearances.

Hoffenheim are now 11th on the table with 39 points from 32 matches.
