Super Eagles forward Junior Ajayi is on the verge of returning to the Egyptian Premier League.

The former Shooting Stars of Ibadan attacker left Al Ahly in 2021 after spending five years winning numerous titles with the former African champions.

Ajayi joined Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi on a free transfer after the Red Devils put him on their list of surplus requirement after former coach Pitso Mosimane signed Percy Tau Lius Miquissone.

According to a report, Aswan SC and Ajayi's representatives are in negotiations and the agreement is already in sight.

The report further suggests that the deal is 2- years as Rio Olympics bronze medalist is keen on returning to the Pharaoh land.

In his days with Ahly, Ajayi scored 30 goals in 103 appearances winning 4 league titles, 2 Egyptian Cups, 2 Egyptian Super Cup, 2 CAF Champions League and one African Super Cup.
