Super Eagles Camp Opens in Turkey as Players Begin Arrival
Nigeria's national football team has begun assembling in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of their upcoming international friendlies, with 13 players already in camp as of Tuesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Among the early arrivals are Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu, Moses Simon, and Frank Onyeka, alongside Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Collins Yira Sor, Philip Otele, Francis Uzoho, Adebayo Adeleye, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Emmanuel Fernandez, and Semi Ajayi.
Team officials also confirmed that Samuel Chukwueze and Maduka Okoye were en route and expected to link up with the squad early Wednesday.
The team is camped at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel, where preparations will intensify once the full 23-man squad is assembled.
The players are scheduled to hold their first training session on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. local time.
Nigeria will face the Iran national football team on March 27 before taking on the Jordan national football team on March 31 in their second friendly.
The fixtures represent the team’s first matches since finishing third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
