Nigeria restored their two-point lead at the top of the Group C standings after claiming a 2-0 win over Liberia with Ahmed Musa and Victor Osimhen scoring in Morocco.

 

The Super Eagles are two points clear of second-placed Cape Verde, who edged out the Central African Republic 2-1 with Stopira scoring the winning goal in Mindelo.

 

Nigeria will now host Cape Verde in Lagos on Tuesday with the two teams desperate for a win in order to reach the next round.
