Super 4 tournament to be played on January 11 ahead of new season

The League Management Company (LMC) plan to stage a Super 4 tournament to usher in the new football season between January 11 to 15.

However, a venue for the invitational tourney has yet to be decided.

Nigeria champions Enyimba, runners-up Warri Wolves, third-placed Nasarawa United and Akwa United, who won the Confederation Cup, will feature in the competition which is aimed at preparing them for both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

This year, the Super 4 was expended to take in the Nigeria U23 and U20 teams and it was won by the Flying Eagles with Taiwo Awoniyi picked as the MVP.
