Striker Gilbert Fiamenyo has confirmed he will be leaving Hearts of Oak at the end of the current campaign when his contract expires.

The bulky forward claims he is yet to be offered an extension to his expiring contract and will be looking elsewhere for a new deal when the season ends this weekend.

There are rumours the 23-year-old is being sacked by the Phobians over his lackluster performances this season.

But Fiamenyo insists he will only be leaving the club because his contract has expired.

"My contract has expired so I cannot be sacked from the club," he told Happy FM.

"I am yet to get an offer from Hearts.

"Therefore being transfer-listed doesn't mean I can't get a club either in Ghana or abroad.

"After Sunday's match, my contract has ended so I will be looking elsewhere for a new contract."

Fiamenyo was a big name signing for Hearts back in 2012 when he joined from Heart of Lions.

He has however struggled to live up to his big-money-buy billing.
