Sporting Braga midfielder Emmanuel Oti is confident of Ghana's chances of progressing beyond the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup.
The Black Satellites have reached the round of 16 after winning Group B but are yet to find out which country they will be facing out of the best three third-placed finishers.
Oti who was named in Sellas Tetteh's preliminary squad for the tournament but could not travel for the game due to the visa problems is impressed with the Ghana side.
"They're doing well and I know they will perform better in the round of 16 tie," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Ghana remain the only African country to have won the competition following an historic feat under Sellas Tetteh in 2009.
Though Oti reckons it will hard to repeat the feat in New Zealand he believes it is surmountable.
"[Yes] is not easy but if you don't believe you [can't win.] So for me I believe they could bring the [ultimate to Ghana]," he added.
