Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has identified some of the clogs that stopped his wheel from getting into the semi final of the Champions League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Napoli at home in the second-leg of the quarter final played out a 1-1 draw having lost at the San Siro by 1-0. This means their opposition, AC Milan gained qualification in place of the Azzuri.

Following a missed penalty in the 82nd minute by Victor Osimhen’s striker parter, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli later cancelled Olive Giroud’s first half goal, 90 seconds to the end of the game through the Nigeria international.

Coach Spalletti told reporters after the game that his team were naive, adding that their key attacker, Victor Osimhen struggled because he could not have in-depth training with the squad before the match.

“We were a little naive. Even Osimhen struggled, but he trained for three days, and when you’re close to the game, you don’t do training where you raise pressure-building and the open field raids.

“We arrived with some not trained at their best and some problems from the national teams.

“Milan won deservedly because they capitalised on the chances,” the Italian said.

Giroud earlier before scoring, also missed a penalty to the hands of Alex Meret.
