Chelsea are set to sign Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall after agreeing a £30 million ($38m) fee, sources have told ESPN.

The 25-year-old is set to undergo a medical in the coming days and has agreed in principle a contract which would keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2030.

Brighton were on the verge of finalising a deal with Leicester for the 25-year-old in a cash-plus-player transfer which involved Poland midfielder Jakub Moder going the other way.

But those talks collapsed after Dewsbury-Hall made it clear he wanted to move to London when Chelsea entered the running.

The move will reunite him with former Leicester boss Enzo Maresca, who officially begins work as Mauricio Pochettino's successor on Monday.

Dewsbury-Hall started 41 of Leicester's 46 games as they won the Championship under Maresca last season.

Chelsea academy graduate Michael Golding could join Leicester although that deal is separate from Dewsbury-Hall's.
