Solskjaer eyes famous comeback
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes his in-form Manchester United side can complete a famous comeback when they face Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
United lost the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie to the French side 2-0 at Old Trafford last month and are 18/1 to qualify for the quarter-finals.
United must beat Thomas Tuchel's Ligue 1 leaders by at least three clear goals in Paris to secure an aggregate win, a task which will be made harder by a lengthy injury list and the fact that Paul Pogba will miss the game as he is suspended.
However, an upbeat Solskjaer said: "We know it is going to be a tough game. We know that are we are playing against one of the best teams in Europe with some absolutely quality players.
"But who knows? It has happened before. This club has had so many great comebacks. The Champions League in the last few years has also given quite a few of those comebacks - PSG against Barcelona - even though it is the other way around now, because we have to do it away from home.
"But we have got eight straight away wins so we are confident away from home. If we are in the game with 20 to 30 minutes to go then who knows?"
Meanwhile, caretaker manager Solskjaer is unsure as to the severity of the injury Alexis Sanchez sustained during Saturday's dramatic 3-2 victory against Southampton.
The Chilean had to be substituted after falling awkwardly, with Solskjaer adding: "He got a knock on his knee. It might be his ligaments.
"Hopefully, it won't be too bad but we won't know until we've done the scans. Of course, we'll have to wait until then."
United, 11/10 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, can be backed at 66/1 to beat PSG 3-0 on Wednesday.
