Solskjaer confirms Sanchez blow
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to play for Manchester United again until mid-April.
The Chile international picked up an injury during Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win over Southampton.
"Yeah, it looks like he [Alexis] might be out for a bit," said United's caretaker boss Solskjaer. "It was a bad knee injury, [so he could be out for] four weeks or six weeks. Hopefully he'll recover quickly."
Meanwhile, Solskjaer has indicated that he will name a youthful side for Wednesday's Champions League round of 16 second-leg encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.
The French side won last month's first match at Old Trafford 2-0 and United can be backed at 18/1 to qualify for the last eight.
Tahith Chong, James Garner, Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams are all in the squad that has travelled to the French capital for the second leg.
"It's just one of those situations that you come into that we've lost a few players," added Solskjaer.
"We'll have a good team out there. Alexis was the only one that we struggled to get fit for now. Brandon is a full-back who can play both sides. He's quick and this is the first time he has travelled with us.
"He didn't expect to come but that's part of being here that suddenly you're called upon. That's why you're in the Academy, that we believe in you and suddenly you have to step up. That's why we have good coaches for them, to make them ready."
Solskjaer has also announced that he is no longer contracted to Molde. The intention when the Norwegian was appointed caretaker boss at Old Trafford in December following Jose Mourinho's departure was that he would return to his role at Molde in May.
The 46-year-old said: "I'm not sure how it works. I think the contract is expired and that I'm now under contract with Manchester United. I think we need a new contract there (at Molde)."
United, 11/10 to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season, are 8/1 to draw 1-1 with PSG on Wednesday.
