Silva on permanent contract: Chukwueze must prove himself
Fulham head coach, Marco Silva, has told Samuel Chukwueze that he must continue to work hard to secure a permanent deal at the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Chukwueze, who joined Fulham on loan from AC Milan, has made five league appearances for the Whites, registering two assists.
Silva emphasized that Chukwueze needs to show more consistency and impress in training to earn a permanent spot at the club.
"He's got quality, but he needs to show it consistently," Silva said.
"We expect more from him, and he knows that. He needs to work hard in training and take his chances".
Chukwueze's loan deal includes an option to buy for around €23m, and Fulham will be monitoring his progress closely.
The Nigerian international has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League so far, but Silva believes he has the potential to become a key player for the club.
"Samuel needs to keep working hard and showing us what he can do," Silva added. "We're a team that's competing for a top-half finish, and we need players who are committed and hungry for success".
