Liverpool midfielder Sheyi Ojo has been named in the England squad for this month's UEFA European Under-19 Championships.

Even though, Ojo was born in Hemel Hempstead, England, he is eligible to represent Nigeria, the country of his parent’s heritage.

The 19-year-old winger is part of an 18-man squad named by England under-19 head coach Aidy Boothroyd for the finals, which will be held in Germany.

According to Liverpool Echo, the teenager, whose full name is Oluwaseyi Babajide Ojo, is most likely to miss Liverpool’s United States (U.S) tour which starts at the end of this month.

Liverpool are expected to take on their English rivals Chelsea as well as Italian sides AC Milan and AS Roma between the 28th of July and 2nd August 2016.

England Under-19 side have been pitted against France, Holland and Croatia in Group B.

The youth continental tournament will take place between the 11th and 24th July 2016.

Ojo's Nigerian name, Babajide, is a variant form of the Yoruba name: Babatunde, meaning "Father returns" or "Father comes back to life"
