Former Milan forward Andriy Shevchenko has spoken favourably about the work of Ruben Amorim, the Portuguese coach who took charge of the club last summer.

The Kyiv-born former striker is regarded as one of the club’s most celebrated players. Shevchenko left in 2006 after a distinguished spell with the team.

During his time at the club, he won the Champions League and was awarded the Ballon d’Or in 2004.
