Osun Utd gaffer, Seye Ajayi gives in-depth assessment of his squad following an outing laced with some talking points, talking about performances and ethos.

With new players joining the rank, the attention would definitely be on the capacity and how fast the team would gel and respond.

Twenty-five players were registered for the tourney, each of them had his fair share of game time. The first game against FC Ebedei was tied 1-1, the story would have been different had United not wasteful in front of goals.

Also, against 3SC, the squad was rotated and held Oluyole 1-1 at half time, only to resume and give in to pressure allowing two more unreplied goals.

Some untested players were given chance against lkorodu Utd as they conceded twice just before the break, with major substitutions, United were able to reply the two goals but later allowed another goal against, following a scramble in our yard.

In all, United created a whole lot of chances, registered eleven shot on goal, scored four times and conceded seven times. Seye Ajayi has this to say;

"We appreciate the organisers of the Optima Energy Preseason Tournaments for inviting us to participate in the tournament, it's a huge experience for us especially the technical crew.

"We came here to learn and see the performances of new players we invited.We have lost vital players to Premiership teams, we are trying to rebuild again, this tournament is majorly used to see who goes and who stays and where and how to play and use the players in different positions.

"We will continue to build on what's on ground and be ready in time for new season. We cherish the opportunity and the backing of the state government who always want us to present a formidable team at all times, we go back to work and we shall be ready in due time. We will honor the invitations again and again" Ajayi, who's an ex Shooting Stars hitman stated emphatically.
