SERIE A – Sarri comments on Saelemaekers confrontation

Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has given his thoughts on his confrontation with Milan midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers. Speaking to DAZN after his side’s disappointing performance in the 2-0 loss against the Rossoneri, the former Chelsea tactician has shrugged off the events as ‘on-field things’.

He said: “Nothing in particular. A boy made a gesture that older people do not do and Ibrahimovic then calmed everything down. These are on-field things.”

Sarri was shown a red card after lashing out at Saelemaekers for making a gesture of sorts. The red due to the verbal altercation will see Sarri sit out of Lazio’s dugout in their match against Cagliari.
