Serie A: Osimhen targets more goals after another successful rescue mission
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen said he’s willing to score more goals as the 2022/2023 Serie A season gradually come to a close, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Nigeria international on Sunday evening missed one penalty but scored another to give Napoli a narrow win over Fiorentina in their first home match since winning the Serie A title.
Fiorentina keeper Pietro Terracciano had saved the forward's spot-kick in the 48th minute but scored another in the 74th minute to hand the Azzuri a 1-0 victory.
With 23 league goals scored already, four more than closest rival, Lautaro Martinez, Osimhen still want to score more goals in the next four league games that end the season.
“I think the curse is about to be broken, we still have four games to go and I want to get as many goals as possible, while winning the games,” he told DAZN.
