SERIE A - Cagliari, Giulini claims the system is collapsing

Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini claims "the system is collapsing” due to "super-indebted" Serie A clubs who ‘have no guarantees that stadiums will reopen in August’.
Talking to La Repubblica, Giulini seemed concerned for the issues born during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The system is collapsing, we have not been considered in the reparations and we have no guarantees as to when the stadiums will reopen,” Giulini said.
“We should have the courage to not take to the pitch in the first game of the championship. It’s not possible that we are not allowed to play football”.
“We have not received support in the face of huge losses. We have 300,000 employees, 30 million fans, Serie A guarantees tax revenues of €1bn. Losses from ticketing revenues are more than 50 per cent of last season’s losses".
“[The FIGC President Gabriele] Gravina’s main concern should be to reopen Serie A stadiums, rather than what the national team will do in the European Championship. The clubs are super indebted, and we also support the lower categories".
