Ghana Under-20 coach Sellas Tetteh insists he’s not under extra pressure as he leads the team to the 2015 African Youth Championship in Senegal.

The Black Satellites managed a 2-2 draw with Nigeria’s Flying Eagles in their latest international friendly on Monday.

Tetteh, a director of Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals, is highly regarded as a youth specialist after leading the side to clinch the FIFA World Youth Championship in 2009.

He was also in charge when the Ghanaians won bronze during the same tournament in Turkey two years ago.

The former Rwanda coach is again the man in charge of the team ahead of the start of the African Youth Championship in Senegal and he says he will not buckle under the weight of expectation.

“It has always been like this. I have been here several times and so there is no pressure at all,” he told the media after Monday’s stalemate against Nigeria.

“We’ve not had enough time to prepare but I believe the next three weeks will be crucial for us.

“Hopefully the foreign-based players will be available and we’ll have a strong team going into the championship.”

The Black Satellites are housed in group B where they will play old foes Zambia, Mali and South Africa.
