Seidu Salifu out to fully capitalize on debut Ghana call up for Senegal, Mali friendlies
Tunisia-based Seidu Salifu wants to make the most of his debut call up to the Black Stars for the friendly matches against Senegal and Mali.
The 22-year-old is one of the new faces named by coach Avram Grant a reward for his exploits at Club Africain.
Salifu struggled for regular first team football when he first joined the Tunisian giants on the back of his impressive display at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.
His Black Satellites teammates; Baba Rahman, Alfred Duncan, Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Frank Acheampong and Ebenezer Assifuah have all had stints with the Black Stars ever since.
The defensive midfielder now gets his chance to impress and says he will make good use of this opportunity.
"In this life it is about time and chance and so it doesn't matter if my colleagues went ahead of me," he said.
"The Black Stars now is filled with great players and I want to learn as fast as I can with this call up.
“I am just happy to have been noticed and if I get my chance I will look to making the nation proud.”
