Search begins for new Hull boss
Hull City are in the hunt for a new manager after Nigel Adkins confirmed he won't be extending his stay with the Championship outfit.
Adkins is set to be out of contract this summer and the club were hopeful the experienced manager would pen a new deal to extend his stay in Yorkshire.
However, Adkins said in a statement that his and the club's futures were "not aligned" following talks over extending his deal.
With his deal set to expire at the end of the month, Adkins has revealed he will be leaving the club after making a tough decision.
"It has been an honour and a privilege to be the head coach of Hull City since I joined the club in December 2017," Adkins said in a statement.
"I would like to thank Assam and Ehab Allam for the opportunity to manage Hull City and also for the offer of a contract extension.
"However, it is with a heavy heart and after much careful consideration that I have decided our futures are not aligned and that I will be leaving the club when my current contract finishes."
Hull are 12/1 to be promoted from the Championship next season.
