Seagulls swoop in for Mooy
Brighton have bolstered their midfield with the signing of Australia international midfielder Aaron Mooy on a season-long loan from Huddersfield Town.
The 28-year-old was one of the standout performers for the Terriers as they spent the last two seasons in the Premier League, but was unable to help Town avoid relegation from the top-flight last term.
He's been a talisman for Huddersfield in recent seasons with his performances on the field.
Graham Potter
Seagulls head coach Graham Potter told his club's official website: "Aaron has played very well over the past two seasons in the Premier League and will bring a different option and added competition to our midfield.
"He's been a talisman for Huddersfield in recent seasons with his performances on the field and he's proved to be an excellent professional both on and off the pitch."
Just before departing from Huddersfield, Mooy put pen to paper on a new three-year contract, with his previous deal having been set to run out at the end of the season.
Town boss Jan Siewert added: Huddersfield Town Head Coach Jan Siewert commented: "Aaron was adamant that he wanted to test himself again in the Premier League when Brighton's interest came in.
"We had to look after the interests of Huddersfield Town and couldn't let him leave on a free at the end of the season, so him signing a new contract gives the club and the player possibilities for the future."
Meanwhile, another midfielder, Beram Kayal, is heading out of the Amex Stadium, having agreed a season-long loan spell with Championship side Charlton Athletic.
The Seagulls are priced at 7/4 to be relegated this season, while they are 4/9 to avoid the drop.
