Scripted: Aina clears air over 'Talking Stage' with a 'baller's girlfriend' controversy
Nottingham Forest and Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has addressed a social media storm after a video surfaced showing him claiming to be in a "talking stage" with another footballer's girlfriend, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The clip, taken from Channel 4.0's entertainment programme Savage Kids & Agony Aunties, was met with widespread debate online, prompting Aina to issue a clarification.
In a statement shared on his Snapchat story, Aina distanced himself from the storyline portrayed on the show, describing it as "entirely scripted and created for entertainment".

"The storyline does not reflect my life, my relationships, or anyone connected to me. It is not rooted in reality in any way," he wrote.
Aina urged fans to view the content for what it truly was - entertainment - saying: "I understand that clips can take on a life of their own, especially online, but I hope people can recognise this for what it is: just some content."
He added: "I take pride in who I am on and off the pitch, and I would never disrespect anyone like that."
The Nigeria international has been out since September due to injury with his return suspected to be in January.
