Scott McTominay could leave Napoli next summer, reports say

Scott McTominay could leave Napoli next summer if he and the club fail to agree a new contract, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 30-year-old Scotland midfielder is currently under contract with Napoli until 2028. However, a failure to extend that agreement could lead to the club selling him, or potentially allow him to leave as a free agent.

McTominay is understood to be seeking annual wages of about 8 million euros. That figure is above the level Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is prepared to offer, making a contract renewal appear unlikely.

Napoli value McTominay at between 25 million and 30 million euros. Manchester United and Aston Villa were interested in signing him last summer.

The midfielder is currently recovering from a minor heart operation and is gradually returning to training.
