Morgan Schneiderlin has cast doubt over his Everton future by suggesting he is open to other offers.

The midfielder has two years of his contract remaining at Goodison Park but found his place in the Toffees team limited last season.

Yeah, everything is a possibility. I am open to discover another championship, another culture.

He started the campaign as a regular under Marco Silva but lost his place to Andre Gomes and ended up starting just 14 Premier League matches.

Having spent two and a half seasons on Merseyside after his move from Manchester United, the French international said he could be persuaded to move on during the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old is quoted as saying to Winamax: "Today I still have two years of contract, and I am a bit divided. I arrived, I had a good performance, and the next season was a bit more complicated.

"For the moment I am in the optics to respect my contract, after we will see. If the club wants to sell me and I am offered an interesting project for me, anything is possible.

"I mostly want and need to play, I feel that I have reached perhaps my best level physically, so we'll see.

"Yeah, everything is a possibility. I am open to discover another championship, another culture."

A poor run of form in January and February cost Everton a place in Europe next season.

Just one defeat in their last eight games saw the Toffees chasing seventh in the table which would have clinched Europa League football, but that followed a poor start to 2019 which derailed their challenge and they finished eighth, Wolves finishing just above them.

Everton are priced at 6/1 to finish in the top six in the Premier League next season with Leicester, who enjoyed a revival under Brendan Rodgers, 10/1.

The Toffees are 20/1 to clinch a place in the top four.
