Likely to leave Sassuolo, after three straight seasons in, French-Ivorian winger Jeremie Boga (24), interviewed by L'Equipe, stated: "I had been in talks with Sassuolo over a deal extension since as much as January. However, we didn't agree on a new contract. The club leaders and I, therefore, have decided on mutual consent for me to be transferred elsewhere, throughout the upcoming summer market window. I've been with Neroverdi three years long by now, and that's the proper time for me to leave, indeed. Following boss De Zerbi? Why not? If the right chance turns out, it might happen. But that's not an obligation at all, on both of our sides, to keep on together, wherever it might be. I'm not closing any door, anyway".
Recently tracked by Olympique de Marseille, which seem however about to invest on a different expensive signing (https://www.transfermarketweb.com/transfers/marseille-agreeing-gerson-move-in-with-flamengo-213884), Chelsea alumni has been inquired about by a huge number of prominent clubs, from 2019 on, some of those being Atalanta, AS Roma, Napoli, Juventus, Stade Rennais (which he used to play for in 2015/16), Leicester City, and Borussia Dortmund. Besides, Boga has now allegedly been targeted by Olympique Lyonnais as well.
