Sarri pleased with defensive effort
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri said that he was pleased with the way his team responded to defeat at Spurs last weekend by beating Fulham.
The Blues won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge to reinforce their position in the top four of the Premier League and after losing away at Tottenham last weekend, their first defeat of the league season, Sarri was pleased with the way his team responded to that setback.

"It was a very good reaction. Now we have to start to improve and play our football in a better way. Ranieri can have a very great impact at Fulham, in two or three weeks they will defend very well and to play against them in a month will be a problem for any team."
Chelsea got the best possible start, taking the lead after just four minutes. Pedro got on the end of a pass from N'Golo Kante to put the Blues in front and they could have been further ahead before the interval, Olivier Giroud twice going close.
However, the Cottagers under new manager Claudio Ranieri kept it to just a single goal and came into the contest more in the second half but they couldn't find a way back and the home side made the game safe late on.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, on as a substitute, scored the second after good work from Eden Hazard and Pedro put the England midfielder through.
It wasn't Chelsea's best performance of the season but it returned them to winning ways and continues Maurizio Sarri's good start to life in the Premier League.
The result keeps Chelsea in the top four while Fulham remain bottom of the table, two points off safety.
Both sides are in action in midweek, Fulham are back at Craven Cottage as they entertain Ranieri's old side Leicester City.
Chelsea meanwhile are away to Wolves who have struggled in recent weeks after making a good start to their first season back in the top flight. They are 7/2 to get back to form with a win on Wednesday with Chelsea 3/4 and the draw 11/4.
