Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has refused to confirm whether Kepa Arrizabalaga will start Sunday's Premier League derby clash against Fulham.

Sarri opted to start with Willy Caballero in goal on Wednesday as Chelsea won the London derby against Tottenham 2-0.

Kepa was fined by the club earlier in the week after refusing to leave the Wembley pitch on Sunday in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City even though Sarri wanted to bring Caballero on for the Spanish goalkeeper.

"Is he the number one? Of course," Sarri said when asked about Kepa. "I think that it was the right decision. Kepa made a big mistake. He paid with the club and then he had to pay with the team. But now I think that we have to stop, Kepa from Thursday will be with us.

"Of course I don't know if in the next match he will be on the pitch or not, but in one of the next two for sure.

"We cannot kill him. When you are young I think that you can make mistakes. The most important thing is that you need to understand very well after every mistake. For me the question is closed."

Chelsea beat Spurs thanks to a Pedro goal and Kieran Trippier's own goal to ease the pressure on Sarri, who has been criticised for his intransigence in recent weeks.

The former Napoli boss added: "I think it depends more on you [the media] than the club. I spoke to them two or three times in the last days. But it wasn't as big as you write, the problem.

"It is not a big problem for me, you are under pressure every week, if you are lucky every six months. It is normal if you lose two or three matches in a row you are under pressure. Maybe more at Chelsea."

Chelsea are 15/2 to beat Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage on Sunday and 1/1 to finish in the top four this season. They are also available at 7/2 to win the Europa League.
