Samba Diawara begins new coaching chapter at AJ Auxerre

Samba Diawara has officially joined AJ Auxerre as an assistant coach after leaving Stade de Reims, where he had been part of the coaching staff since 2022.

Stade de Reims confirmed Diawara’s departure on 15 September, with the former Mali international moving on to a new project.

The former defender has extensive experience of football in both France and Belgium. During his playing career, he represented Charleroi and Saint-Trond in Belgium before continuing in France.

Diawara was involved in 149 matches as a member of the Stade de Reims coaching staff, including 23 games as head coach.

His appointment at AJ Auxerre marks the next stage of his coaching career. He will now work within the AJA staff, bringing his experience and knowledge of the senior game to the Burgundy club.
