Coach Salisu Yusuf has picked a formidable 25-man Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) All-Stars squad primed to hold their own against La Liga clubs Malaga and Atletico Madrid next month.

"The finest players in the Nigeria league will be on display in Spain after the coach (Salisu Yusuf) picked a team of experienced and youthful players for the trip," an official told AfricanFootball.com

"He has done a very commendable job."

The squad will be officially announced any time from now with the players expected back in camp on Monday in Abuja before their departure to Spain.

The final squad is believed to include experienced Kano Pillars midfielder Rabiu Ali and MFM FC youngster Sikiru Olatunbosun.

Rabiu is a veteran as he has featured in the league for the past 10 seasons and has since been affectionately nicknamed 'Pele', while Olatunbosun has been one of the reasons MFM have held their own in their debut season in the top flight.

Enyimba's trio of Ezekiel Bassey, Dare Ojo and Joseph Osadiaye are suspected to have made the final squad, but it is left to be seen if they will be available as their club have a must-win CAF Champion's League group match at Zamalek of Egypt around the same time.
