Rondon opts for China move
Venezuela international Salomon Rondon has ended his four-year stint at West Brom to team up with Rafa Benitez again in China with Dalian Yifang.
The 29-year-old striker spent last season on loan with Newcastle United, scoring 11 times in 32 Premier League appearances while Benitez was still the manager at St James' Park.
Rondon, who moves to China for an undisclosed transfer fee, joined the Baggies from Zenit Saint Petersburg in August 2015 and went on to find the net 24 times in 108 league appearances for the club.
However, he was loaned out to Newcastle last season after Albion were relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
"The club wishes Salomon and his family all the very best in the future," read a West Brom statement.
Albion have had a busy summer in the transfer market after losing to Aston Villa in the Championship play-offs last season.
Slaven Bilic was appointed permanent manager last month and he has only added Filip Krovinovic, on loan from Benfica, to his squad while a host of players have left The Hawthorns.
Gareth Barry, Craig Dawson, Wes Hoolahan, Tyrone Mears, James Morrison, Boaz Myhill, Jay Rodriguez and Morgan Rogers have all moved on to pastures new in the last few weeks.
West Brom are 7/2 to be promoted from the Championship this season while Leeds United can be backed at 7/4 and Middlesbrough at 4/1.
