Ronald Araujo tops Premier League speed charts after Brighton win

Liverpool defender Ronald Araujo recorded the fastest speed in the Premier League this season during the 2-0 victory over Brighton.

Araujo reached 36.3 km/h in the match, according to Sport, which cited the Winna platform. The figure is also matched by Kylian Mbappe, Andrei Ratiu, Kike Fernandez Salas, Facundo Buonanotte and Alejandro Catena in La Liga this season.

The Uruguay international was named player of the match, becoming the first Liverpool player to win the award more than once in the current Premier League campaign.

Araujo also won all five of the duels he contested against Brighton. His 11 defensive actions were second only to those of Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.
