Roma v Porto: Official Line-Ups
Roma are looking for their first ever win over Porto when the two teams meet in the Champions League last 16 first leg at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday night.
The two sides have crossed paths in European competition four times in the past, most recently in the 2016/17 play-off round, resulting in two Porto victories and two draws.
Porto triumphed 3-0 in the Italian capital in August 2016 to earn a 4-1 aggregate victory as Daniele De Rossi and Emerson Palmieri were sent off for the hosts.
The Giallorossi have progressed to the knockout rounds of Europe’s premier club competition in seven of the last eight times they made it to the group stage and Eusebio Di Francesco’s side won all three of their home knockout games during their run to the semi-finals last season.
Porto were unbeaten in the group stages and are on a five-match winning streak in the Champions League, the best run in the competition.
