Robin Gosens has taken a swipe at former club Fiorentina, suggesting his departure from the Italian side was not entirely his choice.

“Fiorentina changed coach, but I was left out,” Gosens said, implying that the decision to end their relationship was forced rather than mutually agreed.

The Germany international now plays for Schalke.
