Rico aims to aid Cherries more
Left-back Diego Rico is determined to make a bigger impact for Bournemouth during his second season with the club than he was able to do in his first campaign.
The 26-year-old Spaniard joined the Cherries from Leganes just under a year ago and made 16 appearances for the South Coast outfit last season.
And he is keen to increase his level of involvement in the new season and help Eddie Howe's side to try and challenge further up the Premeir League table.
Rico told his clubs official website: "My first season here, it was enjoyable. The Premier League is very strong and very physical, it's different from La Liga in Spain, but I am enjoying the challenge.
"It has taken some time to adapt because it's different here. The language, the culture and the league, as well as different players, but I have tried to adapt quickly."
Rico is also confident that he has recovered fully from an ankle injury which hampered his progress during his first season with the Cherries.
He added: "The injury was difficult, but that's life as a footballer and my recuperation has been very good. Now we're back in pre-season and I will build from here.
"Next season I want to play more games and help the team. I've enjoyed playing in this league and I want to enjoy even more next season."
Bournemouth are 9/2 to finish in the top half of the Premier League table next season, while they are 4/1 to be relegated to the Championship.
