The New York Red Bulls will hope to build on the momentum of their victory over New York City FC over the weekend when they travel to take on Toronto FC on Wednesday.

The match up between New York and Toronto is one of four games on the MLS slate with Atlanta United hosting the Houston Dynamo, the Vancouver Whitecaps travelling to the Northeast to face the New England Revolution and the Chicago Fire welcoming in the Columbus Crew.

Recent indifferent form from the Philadelphia Union and DC United has allowed the chasing pack to bunch behind them in the Eastern Conference standings.

The Union lead by four points, but second through sixth are covered by just three points as DC United, the Red Bulls, Atlanta United, the Montreal Impact and New York City all battle for position.

Toronto currently holds the seventh and final playoff place in the Eastern Conference, but is facing pressure from Orlando City and the Revolution. New England are unbeaten in four games, including draws with the top two in the Conference.

Out West the Whitecaps sit in last place, tied with the Colorado Rapids. The latter took a break from MLS action to play a friendly with Arsenal on Monday, falling 3-0 at the Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The Gunners take on Bayern Munich on Wednesday at the home of the LA Galaxy, but this match against the Rapids was more about working the kinks out with Alexandre Lacazette, Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang getting 12 minutes of action at the end of the contest.

Arsenal are at 5/4 to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season with Chelsea 5/4 and Manchester United 11/10.
