Record Glory goalscorer Keogh departs
Perth Glory's all-time A-League leading scorer Andy Keogh has left the club, ahead of an expected move to a Saudi Arabian team.
The 33-year-old Irish striker signed a new one-year deal with Perth in May, but the club have confirmed his contract has been terminated by mutual consent.
Keogh scored 15 goals last season to help Tony Popovic's team win their first piece of A-League silverware - the Premier's Plate.
His overall record of 55 goals in 122 appearances is their best in the A-League.
Bobby Despotovski leads the club's overall scoring charts with 129, of which only 12 came in the A-League, while only seven of Damian Mori's total of 93 came in the competition.
Keogh, who managed 60 goals in 108 games overall, is expected to sign for a Saudi Arabian club before the end of the week.
The Glory have brought in Korean defender Soo-beom Kim on a one-year deal.
The 28-year-old has experience of playing in the Asian Champions League, with Jeju United, and could get another chance to do so with last season's minor premiers Perth.
Kim, who is the club's first Korean signing, is comfortable operating on the left or right hand side of defence or as a wide midfielder.
He said: "Perth Glory had a great season last year and I heard many good things about the coach, the players and the city as well.
"I can already feel that there is a very bright and positive atmosphere within the squad and a winning mentality. I am really looking forward to being a part of this squad this year."
The Glory continued their build-up to the new A-League campaign with a 5-1 friendly win over the WA State Team, with new signing Bruno Fornaroli scoring his first goal for the club.
Perth Glory are 4/1 to win the A-League Grand Final. The Glory are 15/4 to win the FFA Cup.
