Real Madrid players reportedly unhappy with Jose Mourinho’s tactical approach

Several Real Madrid players are reportedly dissatisfied with head coach Jose Mourinho, according to The Touchline.

The players are said to be unhappy that Mourinho relies more heavily on individual ability than on a clearly defined system of play.

The report highlights a contrast with Xabi Alonso’s time at the club. Alonso was dismissed by Real Madrid because his tactical approach was considered excessively complicated, while some players are now criticising Mourinho for a perceived lack of tactical depth.

There have also been previous reports of problems with the atmosphere within Real Madrid.
