Reading manager Steve Clarke has identified Ghana winger Albert Adomah as a major threat to his side in their English Championship clash with Middlesbrough at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Adomah, 27, travels with an in-form Boro side to Berkshire with his high grade performance which has seen him score three times in his last four games.
Clarke, a former Liverpool and Chelsea assistant coach who is also a legend of the English game follow his exploits at Chelsea during his limelight era, has identified Adomah as a major threat to his and has already planned how to stop the Ghana international.
Albert Adomah is a difficult player when he’s on his day. So I’ve just named four players there, my back four had better be ready for them," Clarke told reporters in a pre-match briefing.
The Scottish gaffer also spoke high of the Middlesbrough side who have won all of their last seven games in all competitions.
"David Nugent was a key signing for them. He’s a clever player, knows the Championship and has got a great goal record. Stewart Downing was a big signing. I know Stewart well from my time at Liverpool. He’s a creative player who can create something out of nothing. Those two players give them an extra dimension," he insisted.
The manager however did not comment on the availability of a spot in his squad for English-born Ghanaian starlet Tariqe Fosu who scored on his senior debut last season.
