After winning the Nigeria Premier League title, Enugu Rangers coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu now shifts attention to the continent where his team will next season compete at the highest level, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.

The working one as fondly called in Lagos guided Enugu Rangers to their first league title in 8 years, beating defending champion Enyimba, Remo Stars, Plateau United and Shooting Stars to the 2023/24 NPFL season.

After defeating Gombe United in their final match of the season 2-1 at the New jis Stadium on Sunday where the trophy was presented to them, Ilechukwu thanked the Enugu State government for the support, while also looking ahead for next season's CAF Champions League.

"This is a great day for all of us in Rangers and we give God the glory. This is a victory for the government and people of Enugu state who supported us through thick and thin till we got to where we are today as champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League.

"We hope to get a few legs to add to this team to challenge for both domestic and continental honors next season effectively."

Rangers is the fourth top-tier club Fidelis Ilechukwu will coach having previous coached MFM FC of Lagos, Heartland FC of Owerri and Plateau United.

He led MFM FC and Plateau United to the continent during his time with them.
