Reigning champions Rangers International were in cruise control to beat struggling side, Sunshine Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Flying Antelopes put three pass the Owena Waves at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium aka the Cathedral to move within the top after their match day 26 encounter.

Bashir Usman opened the scoring for the hosts in the 25th minute before Joel Odoh fired in Godwin Obaje’s well-placed pass three minutes later.

Kingsley Maduforo made it 3-0 four minutes before halftime after connecting home Isaac Saviour’s cross to give the Enugu giants a comfortable lead at the break.

The second half produced no goals despite attempts by the two sides, leaving the score at 3-0 and the maximum points going to Rangers International who moves to third position on the log pending Rivers United and Ikorodu City's matches on Thursday.
