Rangers International head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has expressed confidence that his team is now fully focused on getting back to winning ways after overcoming a difficult phase in their season, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

Rangers will take on Ikorodu City FC in a rearranged NPFL 2024/2025 Matchday 22 clash at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Monday, February 3, 2025.

Ilechukwu, an experienced coach who has led three Nigerian clubs in continental competitions, believes his team has turned a corner.

"We've navigated the most difficult part of our season and are now focused on regaining our winning momentum," he stated.

"Our last two results weren't what we aimed for, but we've put them behind us and are looking ahead with optimism. Ikorodu City may be new to the NPFL, but they're a quality side. We respect them, but we need a positive result, and we're ready to fight for it."

Currently, both Rangers and Ikorodu City are tied on 31 points, occupying 5th and 6th positions on the NPFL table, with Ikorodu City having a slight edge in goal difference.

This crucial encounter promises an exciting battle, with Rangers eager to delight their home fans and climb up the table.

The two sides previously met on September 25, 2024, at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, where a 25th-minute goal from Chinemerem Ugwueze secured Rangers’ first away win of the season.
