Rangers manager Philippe Clement has called on striker Cyriel Dessers to be more clinical in front of goal, following Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Celtic in the Old Firm derby, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Dessers missed a golden opportunity to give Rangers the lead early in the game and Clement believes that taking such chances is crucial in big games.

"We started the game well, but we need to be clinical in those moments," Clement said in his post-match press conference.

“Cyriel had a great chance, and if we go in front, it changes the momentum."

Dessers has scored five goals and registered one assist in seven appearances for Rangers this season, but Clement's comments suggest that the striker needs to improve his finishing to make a greater impact in key matches.
